Atty. Christopher John P. Lao is the Managing Partner of Dionido Guerrero Francisco Lao Law Offices. He leads the Firm's cross-border and domestic practice across transactional, corporate, labor, and litigation matters, with a particular focus on commercial contracts, energy sector due diligence, real estate, corporate law, and intellectual property.

What distinguishes Atty. Lao is the breadth of his academic formation. He holds a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines College of Law and a Master of Laws (LLM) in Chinese Law from Tsinghua University in Beijing — one of China's most prestigious institutions — where he graduated as an Outstanding Student (优秀毕业生) with a perfect 4.0 GPA. His undergraduate degree in Philosophy from UP Diliman was completed Summa Cum Laude, with the Valedictorian distinction.

He has appeared before the Supreme Court of the Philippines as counsel and oralist in landmark constitutional cases, and continues to shape the next generation of Philippine lawyers as a faculty member at the University of the Philippines College of Law and De La Salle University Tañada-Diokno School of Law.
